Meet the trainers

Paul Ryan

Founder & Trainer

Paul is an actor, author, executive coach and presentation skills trainer. He began teaching presentation skills in 2000.

After a three year stint in the West End production of Mamma Mia he took the plunge and set up Improve On You in 2012. Since that time he has run public workshops, written two books, given keynote speeches, written articles for the ICAEW, and gone into such companies as EY, ClearScore and ActionCoach giving training at both grassroots and C level. He has worked to help politicians, CEOs and business leaders to take a step change in their abilities to win hearts, minds and more business.

For charity he has run five half marathons, numerous sprint triathlons and participated in one extremely arduous sponsored bike ride. He has been invited to be the master of ceremonies and auctioneer for a number of charity events and takes great pride in his association with The Hospice of St Francis. Like all of us he has had to pivot his business toward the online space and so decided to build his own streaming studio. If you are ever in the Hertfordshire area, drop in!

Sean Needham

I am very excited to introduce my associate trainer Sean Needham. Sean joined Improve On You in early 2023 and is already heading up his own workshops and one to one training sessions.

Not only does Sean bring a terrific sense of fun to the training environment but a lightning speed ability to diagnose a speakers strengths and areas of required development.

As an actor Sean has appeared in a huge number of hit West End shows including Wicked, Mamma Mia! Kinky Boots and most recently the Dolly Parton musical Nine to Five.

With his vast performing experience alongside the Improve On You methodology Sean brings a unique verve and energy into every learning session and takes huge pride in his ability to fast track his clients to the next level as public speakers.
